Spectacular natural geology, breathtaking views and fascinating historical heritage- Teesdale is one of the most beautiful places in the North East.
After driving through the rolling Teesdale countryside we make our first stop at the spectacular High Force waterfall- England's highest. Afterwards, the Bowlees Visitor Centre provides the ideal gateway to explore the North Pennines AONB and UNESCO Geopark.
We drive back along the Tees for a stop at the quaint market town of Middleton-in-Teesdale. Enjoy a stroll by Hudeshope Beck and browse local art at the Kirkcarrion Gallery.
Choose to have lunch in the village or at the Vinery in Raby Castle.
The afternoon is spent in the splendid Raby Castle. Once home to the powerful Neville Family, it has a fascinating and colourful history. You can take a self guided tour, or opt to expend to a full guided tour from one of the castle guides.
