Swaledale & Wensleydale
Explore the Yorkshire Dales from Durham
£169 p.p. (Based on two people)
8 hours

Fully immerse yourself the Yorkshire Dales with this comprehensive tour that highlights the best of Swaledale & Wensleydale.
Swaledale is perhaps the wildest and most unspoilt of all the dales. As we drive through the sweeping countryside you can stop at picturesque villages like Reeth and Muker where hay meadows flood the landscape. We cross the dramatic Buttertubs Pass that marks the watershed between Swaledale and Wensleydale, before heading to Hawes.
Experience cheesemaking and a tour of the Wensleydale Creamery before lunch and some free time in the bustling market town of Hawes.
In the afternoon we head to the amazing Bolton Castle- the 1568 prison of Mary Queen of Scots. Take a self-guided tour around the castle or opt for an additional guided tour. There are daily archery demonstrations, bird of prey experiences and wild boar feeding- all included in the ticket price.
The day finishes with a visit to a natural beauty; Aysgarth Falls. The three-stepped waterfall was visited by Wordsworth and Turner and featured in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
You can certainly customise your tour with additions and changes. Get in touch to let me know what you want from your tour.
