Bamburgh castle and village provides a spectacular site to discover Anglo-Saxon England. This was once the seat of the kings of Northumbria throughout the Golden Age. This is a must on any journey along the North East coastline.

Just up the coast from Bamburgh lies the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, a truly magical place. This became the cradle of Christianity in England during the 7th century and was home to St. Aidan and St. Cuthbert. Lindisfarne was the site of the first Viking raids on England and now attracts thousands of pilgrims per year.

There is no better setting to unearth the history and beauty of Northumberland.

Note: Lindisfarne is an island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Therefore, the timing of our visit to Lindisfarne will be determined by the tide and causeway crossing times.

Pick up from the location of your choice and drive to Lindisfarne: 9am (times may vary upon location)
